South Waterfront Substation, Jersey City, NJ.
Installation of new substation and switching station to serve the growing Jersey City waterfront. The project covered 5 miles of conduit in urban roadways. Special construction techniques included difficult dewatering problems, deep excavations, several bore and jack installations at congested intersections and two 300-foot long micro tunnels under Conrail tracks and the PATH tunnel.

Mapping of existing utilities for office, retail, recreational and residential uses for this redevelopment along the Hudson River. Project included mapping of existing utilities and preparation of an alignment for manhole and conduit system to connect the substation to the waterfront. |
